On our last visit to the museum, our task was to create a performance centered around the peeling of potatoes. In order to make this performance relevant to the location we were in, our performance group asked members of staff from the museum and other class mates to peel the potato. It was interesting to see that each person peeled slightly differently to anyone else, leaving unique marks on the portion that they had peeled. Because of this, we can assume that if we had performed the piece in a different place, the peeling would have looked different to the one from the museum.
As we had to leave no mess behind, the peels from the potato had to be removed from the museum. However, we made sure to take a photo of the potato before and after the performance, to ensure that there was recorded proof of the performance occurring.
