What art/ history is in the centre?

The range within The Usher Gallery and The Collection starts around half a million years ago to the present day. When considering a performance to represent the time range, what I have thought of is to produce short site-specific performances over a period of time, for example 5 years. The inspiration for the performances will be the art work currently in one of the galleries, for example the Viewpoint Gallery. The performance will be making connections between the artwork presented and the relevance of this art being shown to us in today’s society. These performances will be created each time a new collection is introduced within the gallery. All performances will be recorded, this allows it to be showcased within The Usher Gallery and The Collection to show how art is presented differently over time and through performance how people react towards art.
